Aprosoft was engaged for a period of over 4 years to help augment the software development capability of the Wealth Management Division of John Hancock, one of the largest Life Insurance providers in the US. The Aprosoft offshore team consisted of almost 30 software engineers in ASP.NET, SQL Server, Informatica and Cognos. The initial challenge for the Aprosoft team was to gain an in-depth knowledge of the complex financial business concepts required to work on the various systems at John Hancock. The team achieved this successfully without anyone from either offshore or onshore locations travelling for knowledge transfer sessions. The Aprosoft resources were assigned to various application/business areas, including one team working on the development, maintenance and enhancement of a customer facing industry award winning annuities portal. The Business Intelligence team at Aprosoft was assigned to provide not only software development projects, but also had been trusted with the support and maintenance of the production systems and environment.
